About
New work always involves objections to the old, but these objections are really only relevant to the new.

Manifesto
We object to the old only to expand the possibilities of the new.
Our furniture is made to be lived with — fully and without hesitation.
It carries daily rituals wherever they unfold, invites care, and adapts as circumstances change.
It moves with you across spaces and contexts — gaining character as it ages.
Foldt welcomes time as a collaborator.
We built it for life. All of it.
New work defines itself in relation to what came before it. Its relevance, however, lies in what it makes possible.
Over more than a decade of collaboration across objects and spaces—sharing knowledge, refining processes, and developing modes of production—we have come to understand what works, and what does not, in interiors and custom furniture.
We build on this foundation of a dialogue-driven approach. With foldt, we introduce a new expression of our practice.
Each project begins with a conversation. A precise balancing of customer needs and aesthetic accents is followed by a mindful selection of quality materials and products. The result is furniture and environments that are intentional, enduring, and distinctly their own—made to live with you, not simply to fill space.
